About Silver Oak 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon, Alexander Valley
Because Silver Oak only produces Cabernet Sauvignon from California's two best Cabernet microclimates, their wines are consistently outstanding and complex, brimming with ripe cassis flavors, carefully seasoned with toasty new oak. Because of their long relationships with growers they are able to source the best possible fruit from prime vineyards throughout Alexander Valley.
This wine, from the outstanding 2016 vintage in Alexander Valley is a very careful blend of 94.6% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4.0% Merlot, 0.5% Petit Verdot, 0.5% Cabernet Franc and 0.4% Malbec. Blended in early 2017, the wine was then aged for 24 months in 50% new and 50% once-used American oak barrels from Silver Oak's own Missouri cooperage, known as The Oak. Early blending assures a balanced core and allows the components to achieve a seamless harmony during barrel aging.
After bottling in the spring of 2018, each bottled was aged an additional 15 months before being released in July of 2020. No ratings yet but we expect nothing but raves.
This 2016 Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is ruby in color with a magenta rim. It has an enticing nose of cassis, blackberry, vanilla, sage and spearmint. Upon entry, this wine builds from potpourri and bramble to a bright pop of raspberry on the mid-palate. A juicy finish with chewy tannins and a medium length, it will provide drinking pleasure through 2042 with proper cellaring.
This is a limited allocation so please don't miss your chance to grab this iconic Cab from a classic vintage.

Silver Oak Wealth Advisors Services Investment Philosophy
Some financial advisors manufacture portfolio models and pair their clients with the one that makes the most sense. Depending on which is best suited for you, Silver Oak may utilize either passive or active management. Passively-managed portfolios usually consist of exchange-traded funds (ETFs), exchange-traded notes (ETNs) and mutual funds, whereas their active counterparts use individual equities and separate account managers in addition to the above three investments.

What to Watch Out For
Founder and former president Joel Framson owns an accounting firm that Silver Oak sometimes recommends its clients to. The two firms do not share or receive referral fees or any other monetary compensation. Still a conflict of interest could arise, as Framson may be incentivized to recommend his accounting firm over others. Silver Oak fully abides by fiduciary duty though, legally binding it to act in clients’ best interests at all times.
